Earl William Jenkins, 88, of Elsinboro and formerly of Audubon, passed on March 3, 2018. He was married for 67 years to his high school sweetheart, Rosalie (nee Runkle).
He is also survived by his sons, William (Jann) Ocean City NJ, and David (Pat) Ashburn VA, grandchildren Kelly Thomas (Kenny),William (Becky), Kristin Crockett (Jameson), and Cyndi Poolake (Matt), and great grandchildren William, Peyton, Finn, Mackenzie, Donovan, Asher, and Annie.
He was a graduate of Audubon High School Class of 1948. He also volunteered as a Boy Scout leader for Troop 88. He was a Supervisor at Texaco Eagle Point refinery for 33 years. He served in the National Guard. Enjoyed being a local historian and storyteller lecturing throughout Delaware and South Jersey on H.L. Hunley, South Jersey Fishing Cabins, and the Lake Family of Ocean City New Jersey. He was also a member of Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he was a Deacon. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Saturday March 17, 2018, at 11am, at Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church, 18 W. Merchant St., Audubon, NJ 08106. Visitation from 10am to 10:45am. Interment to be private.
