Julia E. Carmean, 92, passed away on January 4, 2011. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Carmean, Sr.. She was born in Germantown section of Philadelphia and then resided in Hatboro. Julia was the daughter of the late William and Kathryn (Whalen) Shandley and predeceased by her 2 sisters Catherine Malizia and Rita Shuster. Julia is by survived children Janet Minanno, Joan McMahon, and Joseph W. Carmean, Jr.. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
Julia worked for many years in the offices of Amsco Toys and Bailey Real Estate. She was a 60 year communicant of St. David’s Parish in Willow Grove, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again Monday morning from 9am to 10am at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090. Funeral Mass to follow on Monday at 10:30am at St. David RC Church, 316 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
