Edward C. DiCenzo, age 61, of Philadelphia died on July 3, 2008. Born in Pittsburg, PA, he lived in Philadelphia for the past 37 years. Ed was a Philadelphia School teacher for 35 years. He served on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers for 20 years. A graduate of Penn State University, he was an avid fan of the Nittany Lions and the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh sports teams. He loved to travel and enjoyed music. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary B. Faherty, his parents Edward and Florence DiCenzo of Coraopolis, PA, and his sister Linda Sinatra (Frank) of Pittsburgh. He will be sorely missed by his family, cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday July 9, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove 19090. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 10, 2008 at 10am at Maternity BVM RC Church, 9200 Bustleton Ave., Philadelphia PA. Interment St. John Neumann Cem.
