Robert E. Enck of Croydon passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He was 66. Mr. Enck was born and raised in Philadelphia to Frederick and Mae (Gaunt). He married Margaret Henderson whom he had known since first grade at St. James Parish School, 38th and Chestnut streets, Philadelphia. He attended West Catholic High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force at Vandenberg, Calif., in the early 1960s. He recently retired from Trap Rock Industries, New Jersey, and previously worked in the Millwright trade at U.S. Steel Fairless Works. A wonderful dad, grandfather and proud veteran, he enjoyed motorcycling, fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Henderson) Enck. He will be sadly missed by his son, Robert, daughter-in-law Debbie, and grandsons Andrew and Colin, all of Oreland; his sisters-in-law, Mary Enck and Katherine Enck; and dear friends, Leo and Nancy Ellison of Croydon. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick Enck and William Enck. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, at John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held privately.
