Erich K. Gerstberger, 79, of Summit NJ, on December 16, 2009. Born in Karlsthal, Czech Republic, Mr. Gerstberger immigrated to the United States in 1962. He worked for twenty-five years in the banking industry, serving as an executive at UBS in New York for fifteen years. Following his retirement in 1989, Mr. Gerstberger founded Sterling R.S. International, a consulting firm which served private investors until 2007. An active traveler and outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed golf, watching his grandsons play sports, and annual vacations to Marco Island, Florida.
Mr. Gerstberger is survived by his two daughters Petra Rowland (Timothy) and Yvonne McPeak (Gregory), his grandchildren Matthew and Nicholas Rowland, and Brian and Jack McPeak, his sister Erna Cummings (Bernard), his companion Alice Sturzinger, and his former wife Hildegard Schubert. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 am , visitation at 10am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Road, Lafayette Hill PA 19444-1107. .
