She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a degree in Textile Science.  She received her Master’s Degree in Textile Chemistry from University of Maryland.  She moved to Pennsylvania to work at Rohm and Haas in Spring House, PA, and worked there until retiring last year.

Kathleen loved gardening, buying a large number of flats of annuals each year; often passing on “extra” perennials to friends, family, and anyone who happened to walk by.  An occasional sewer she still loved to collect fabric.  She loved travel; having most recently visited Ireland for two weeks.  Kathleen and Hal often incorporated their love of golf and skiing with their many trips.  She was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and even found time to attend two NASCAR races a year.
