Eugene M. Murphy Sr., 83, of Roslyn formerly of Roxborough, on February 18, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children Melanie Lake (Ric), Gerry DeMare (Keith), Kathleen Noce (Gene), Susan Slickers (Scott), Kenneth Murphy (Joan), and Lynn Murphy, his 17 grandchildren, and his 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Eva May Murphy (nee Wolfinger), his daughter Frances Ann Murphy, and his son Eugene M. Murphy Jr.. He graduated from Roxborough High School in 1943. Eugene was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. A member of St. John of the Cross. He was also the oldest living member of VFW Post 3498 in Roslyn. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday evening February 22, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090, and again on Saturday Morning from 930am to 1030am at St. John of the Cross RC Church, 2741 Woodland Rd. Roslyn, PA 19001. Funeral Mass to follow at 1030am. Interment in Hillside Cemetery.
