Costantina Maria Stella Perri (nee Tomaino), 81, passed away on August 23, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born in Alexandria, Egypt and at the age of one moved to San Pietro Apostolo, Calabria, Italy along with her mother, Giovanna (nee Pingitore) and two brothers, Orlando and Mario. She worked in Palermo, Sicily as a governess. Her soon to be husband, Gregorio Perri was living in the USA and was originally from San Pietro. After a brief engagement, they were married in July 1960. They left Italy in December 1960 for the USA. Costantina is preceded in death by her mother, husband, and two older brothers. She has two sons: Gregorio Perri Jr. (Florence, NJ), and Giovanni Perri (Maple Glen, PA) their wives, Theresa and Beth and six grandchildren: Lorraine, Gregorio, Nicole, Nicholas, Gianna, and Domenic. She also has many nieces and nephews here in the US as well as Italy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, was an avid gardener, a fantastic cook and was devoted to St. Padre Pio. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday evening August 27, 2009 from 6pm to 8pm and Friday Morning from 930am to 1030am at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N Easton RD., Willow Grove PA 19090. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11am at St. David RC Church , 316 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090. Interment to be held in Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Easton Rd., Philadelphia PA.(Mt. Airy) In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donation to St. David RC Church at the above address.
