Richard W. Whitney Sr., 69, of Willow Grove, on November 18, 2008. He is survived by his children Rand W. Whitney (Laura), Ryan W. Whitney (Kim), Rodd W. Whitney (Beth), Reece W. Whitney (Susan), Stacy A. Simmons (Frank), and Susan L. Hanley (John), his brother Leon D. Whitney (Kathleen), his daughter in law Margaret Whitney, and his 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Whitney (nee Hoopes) and his son Richard W. Whitney Jr. Richard was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, the Catholic Ministry Institute, and a Eucharistic Minister for St. David RC Church. He was also a driver for Automotive Concepts in Horsham. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening November 20, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm and again Friday Morning November 21, 2008 from 9am to 10am at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090, Funeral Mass to follow at 1030am at St. David RC Church, 316 N Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090.
