Francis X. Walsh III “Lou”
May 10, 1955 – April 4, 2024
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Francis X. Walsh III “Lou” passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on Thursday, April 4th. Lou is survived by his wife Judy, children Jacqueline Wargo (Steve), Christopher (deceased), Matthew, Jonathan grandson, Steven Wargo, sister, Sister Susan Walsh, RSM and a host of friends.
Lou went to St. David School and Upper Moreland High School. He found many life-long friends from his high school days or from the Little League diamonds. His sense of humor and easy-going spirit drew people to him. People enjoyed being with Lou.
Lou spent most of his professional career working as a machinist and supervisor for SPS (Standard Pressed Steel) in Jenkintown, PA. Upon retirement, he worked part time in retail at Home Depot in Willow Grove, PA. In his free time, Lou loved nothing more than being with his family, taking vacation time at the shore. His favorite place was North Wildwood, NJ where he loved sitting on the beach for hours, soaking up the sun, sending one of his sons for a hot dog run to the man on the corner. Lou loved the shore so much that he bought a trailer in a campground just outside of North Wildwood. There he sat on his back deck listening to the Phillies on the radio. In fact, Lou was a diehard Philadelphia sports fan with the Eagles and the Phillies as his favorites. When he was not listening on the radio, he was in front of the TV and he never missed a game or a golf match.
Lou will be missed by his family and friends. Join the family in the celebration of Lou’s life.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday April 13, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:15am at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090. Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am.
