Betty (Hayes) Cavallini

Betty Delores Hayes Cavallini,89, formerly of Ridley Twp., peacefully went home to the Lord  December 3, 2017 at her residence at Granite Farms, Media , PA.

One of seven children,she was born June 17, 1928 in Charleston , S.C.  to Joseph and Lowree Hayes. A loving and devoted wife,mother grandmother, sister ,she is survived by her husband Richard; children ,Larry(Dale) , Joseph(Ann) , Geni Hensel(Helmut);eight grandchildren; nine great grand children; and sister , Catherine Faust and  brother .Arthur Hayes of Colombia , S.C.; cousins, nieces, nephews.

 Daughter of a “coast guard  man”, she lived a few of her childhood years  in Staten Island, NY and New London , Connecticut but a native of south Carolina, she grew up a “Southerner “. Her marriage to Richard brought her back North where she then set roots  making  Ridley Township her home

   Ever the  servant of others , Betty was a 66 year member of North Chester Baptist Church serving as Sunday School teacher, Pioneer Girls leader,,choir member, and head deaconess. She was a member of the Christian Academy Hearth Sorority ,and served as President. Along with her husband, she served as a short term missionary to Italy in 1982-83 At Granite Farms , she was in the choir and led volunteers. Her work history  includes Colombia,S.C.  telephone company; production manager at Smith, Klein and French , Philadelphia; along with her husband, she owned and operated Cavallini's delicatessen , Norwood, PA ;and,  office manager, Orthodontic Associates, Ridley Park, PA

 Her commitment  to her Lord Jesus Christ leaves a lasting legacy and example of love with her family , friends and community.

Memorial service held Sunday,,December 10 at 1:00 PM - North Chester Baptist Church,2331 Providence Road, Chester, PA 19013
