Douglas N. Melville, Sr.

Douglas N. Melville Sr., 87, passed on May 28, 2017, in Willow Grove.  He is survived by his son Douglas N. Melville Jr., son-in-law Jack Durkin (Midge), granddaughter Kimberly Walker, grandson James Durkin, and great grandchildren Jackson, Nolan, Katie, and TJ Walker.

Douglas was the original owner and founder of Horsham Valley Golf Club, and worked for the American Red Cross from 1980 to 1990 in Disaster Services. He was a private pilot that enjoyed flying and was a member of the Q.B. of Trenton Hanger, and the Jenkintown Masonic Lodge (Concordia Lodge No. 67).  He also spent his winters in Jupiter / Tequesta, FL where he enjoyed traveling in his beloved motorhome.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Thursday June 1, 2017 at 10:30am at the Wayside Chapel at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.  Viewing from 10am.

Interment to follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
