Eleanor "Ellie" S. (Swartz) Gustafsson

Eleanor “Ellie” S. Gustafsson (née Swartz) of Hatboro, PA, went home to be with her Savior on February 6, 2018. She was 92 years old.

Eleanor is survived by two daughters, Susan Conety (Doug), Lori Latta (Dr. Richard), a son-in-law, Steven Smalley, 9 grandchildren, Robert Conety (Sarah), Allison Keller (Ben) Andrew Conety (Kathryn)  Dr. Daniel Latta (Heather),  Kelly Rubin (Camner), Carly Latta, Nicholas Smalley (Nancy), Joshua Smalley,  Kara Owen (David), 6 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Braden, Jeremy, Robbie, Bennett, Ari, and 2 yet to be born, and many nieces/nephew.   She is preceded in death by her husband Olof Gustafsson, her daughter Vicki Lee Smalley, parents Victor and Catherine Swartz, her sister Elizabeth Staggers, and a brother George Swartz.

Eleanor was born and raised in Conshohocken, PA and graduated from Conshohocken High School. As a young adult she enjoyed traveling across the United States and throughout Europe, and studying Spanish in Cuba. Eleanor married her husband Olof in Finland in 1954. They moved to Flourtown, PA where they raised their 3 children. Eleanor later returned to work as a secretary for several different offices. She was a member of the Women’s Bible Study at Calvary Church and Questers. Her family and friends will remember her fondness for baking, raising orchids, and mostly her love of family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 at Calvary Presbyterian Church PCA, 405 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA.  A calling hour will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow at the church.  Contributions in memory of Eleanor may be made to the National Federation of the Blind, nfb.org or to Calvary Presbyterian Church PCA in Willow Grove, PA.
