George B. Burnwood, 93, of Ft. Washington on September 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by former wife Jean and devoted longtime companion, Ruth Gripp. George is survived by his nephew, Tom (Tina) Dunn. George was beloved by Ruth's children: Craig (Lee), Roy (Susan), and Rolfe (Debra); he was grandfather to Steven (Amanda), Matthew(Carla), Philip, Maura, Megan (Jason), and Drew (Kristen) Gripp.
After graduating form Frankford HS, George spent his career in logistics at the Naval Aviation Supply Depot. George was an avid golfer proud of his membership at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, and his 3 holes in one.
