Jennie Grace (DiCindio) Kraus

Jennie Grace Kraus (nee DiCindio), 72, of Huntingdon Valley on November 15, 2017.  She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Conrad J Kraus, her daughter Amanda C. Spear (Brian), her grandchildren Paul R. Spear, and Ryan C. Spear, a brother James “Jeepy” DiCindio (Gina), nieces Annette, Michelle, Jennifer and one nephew, Jimmy and several grand nephews and nieces. 

Jennie was born on July 2, 1945.  She grew up in Phoenixville with her parents Michael DiCindio and Anna (DeNicola) DiCindio, and her brother, Jeepy DiCindio, with whom she was very close.  She was a 1963 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School in Norristown.  After graduation, she worked as a teller and as a secretary to the President at Phoenixville Federal Bank.  She was married to Connie Kraus on August 14, 1971, and moved to Oreland, PA, where they had their daughter, Amanda.  Jennie’s love for flowers led her to opening her own flower shop in Oreland called My Aunt’s Plants.  She later moved to Rockledge, PA, where she celebrated many happy years with her family.  She then moved to Huntingdon Valley, where she spent the remainder of her years.  During this time Jennie celebrated the wedding of her daughter Amanda to Brian Spear, who she loved like a son.  Jennie worked as Connie’s “right hand man” handling the office management and administrative duties at Conrad J. Kraus Real Estate, and had her own brand in home construction, at Jennie Grace Homes.   Jennie along with the help of her husband volunteered their time and money to restore the World War I monuments along route 232 in Rockledge, Pennsylvania.  Her most rewarding career started when she became a grandmother to her loving grandsons, Paul and Ryan.  Her family brought so much joy and love to her, as she did to them.  Jennie enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  She was the definition of grace and beauty and was loved by everyone that met her.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 12pm at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham PA 19044.  Viewing in church from 11am to 11:45am.   Interment to follow at 2:15pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
