Kay Louise Hertz Schuster

 Born July 29, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, died peacefully in her sleep January 17, 2020 at the age of 73. Best known by her title of Nana/Mom Mom to her 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  Also known as Weezer to her friends and family.  She is survived by her daughter Lisa Tyree, and her husband Ted, and daughter Kimberly Sword, and her husband Jason.  She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchild, Evelyn, Gregory, Matthew, Elizabeth, Carolyn, Kayla, Luke, and Lorenzo. Preceded in death by her mother Kate Bunn Hertz and Father Addison August Hertz.

A graduate of Olney High School, class of 1964, Louise soon after attended Cosmetology school and began her career as a hairdresser.  Other careers included working for Bell Telephone and Al’s Corner Deli, but her most treasured career was that of a Mother and Grandmother.  Louise could be found wherever her grandchildren had an event, whether it be the musicals or plays to any of the many sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse.

Louise’s smiles and hellos will be missed by all who met her.  Her love for the Lord and her desire to share the word of Jesus impacted the lives of many who were blessed to know her. We love you Mom and are so blessed to have had so many years with you. You will be in our hearts forever!

Services for Louise will be a Graveside Service at the Northwood Cemetery, 1501 Haines St, Philadelphia, PA 19126 at 11 am Saturday, January 25,, 2020. 

 A memorial will be held later that day at 12:30-3:30 at 2010 Acorn Place, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Lisa, Kimberly and the family would like to extend the invitation to all who knew Louise and would like to share in her celebration of life to attend.
