Rosalie (Schwartz) Antochy

Rosalie Antochy, 87, long time Upper Moreland resident, residing at Neshaminy Manner passed away quietly on February 27, 2018.

 Rosalie was born on October 17, 1930 to George and Elizabeth Schwartz in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. After the war she received a Nursing degree from the University of Belgrade and migrated to Germany. She met Roman Antochy in early 1955 while bicycling to work and three months later they married on July 29, 1955. Their first child, Alexander, was born in June 1956, and in 1957 they immigrated to the United States. They relocated to Philadelphia and starting living the American Dream. In 1962, they moved to Upper Moreland Township where they raised their 4 sons. Rosalie was a Den Mother for the boys in Cub Scout Pack 353, and then joined Boy Scout Troop 354 Ladies Auxiliary in Willow Grove. She was active at First United Presbyterian Church in Willow Grove. Rosalie worked as a Recess Aide at Cold Springs Elementary School in the 70’s, and at Keystone Frankin Inc., in the 80’s. She also was active in the Willow Grove Historical Society.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her father George killed during WWII, mother Elizabeth, and her loving husband Roman, who was also a resident of Neshaminy Manor.

She is survived by her sons, Alexander of Warrington, George of Mansfield, TX, Roman Jr. of Warwick, and Nikolas of Bridgeton, NJ, 6 Grandsons, 3 Granddaughters, and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff at Neshaminy Manor for the professional loving care that they provided to both Mom and Dad over the remainder of their lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Saturday March 31, 2018 at 10am, at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N Easton RD., Willow Grove PA 19090.  Visitation from 9am to 9:45am.

Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery.
