William J. Conway

William Joseph Conway, age 92, went to be with his Savior on December 13, 2017. He was a resident of Denver, North Carolina for the past 2 ½ years and formerly a resident of Hatboro, PA. He was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran serving aboard the USS CHESTER and retired long time mechanic of Holberts Volkswagon in Warrington, PA. He died peacefully at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center – Hospice Unit in Salisbury, North Carolina with his loving daughter, Patsy, by his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Anne Marie Conway (Coyle) (whom he loving referred to as Irish) with whom he had shared 39 years of marriage before she passed in 1986.

He is survived by his children Patricia Magro (Charlie), William G. Conway (Linda) and Mary Jo Hagan (Frank). He is also survived by his grandchildren whom he loved dearly Stephanie Thomas, David Magro, Lisa Worth, Nicole O'Connell, Amber Simms, Christian Magro, Brian Conway, Faith Ferguson, Jennifer Violi, Lisa Brangs, and Frank Hagan. He had 32 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Anna Conway (Stevens), two brothers David and Harry Conway and two sisters Mary Drumm and Anna Chambers (Sis). He is also survived by many of his grandchildren's spouses, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral. Viewing will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at John J. Bryers Funeral Home 406 N. Easton Road Willow Grove, PA 19090 215-659-1630 Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Davids RC Church 316 N. Easton Road Willow Grove, PA 19090 Interment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery 3797 County Line Road Chalfont, PA 18914

In lieu of flowers, our father requested that donations be made to the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002 in honor of our mother who passed away from this disease. Also to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100 N, Bethesda, MD 20814 to help find a cure for his great granddaughters Alyssa and Jordan Magro.
