Obituary for Amelia Bostic
Amelia “Amy” Bostic, 70, of Ivyland, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13th after bravely battling COPD for several years.
Amy was born on September 1, 1954, and grew up in Hatboro, Pennsylvania with her beloved sisters, Margaret and Barbara (Jim). She and her devoted husband, Scott, shared all aspects of their life together for 30 years. Amy was a dedicated stepmother to Scott's three children, Tom (Erin), John (Julie), and Lori (Dustin). She was affectionately known as "Grammy" by her five grandchildren: Mackenzie, Emma, Savannah, Wynter, and Gwen, who brought immense joy and love into her life. She was a proud Aunt to her five nieces and nephews: Candice, Colleen, Emily, Cory and Shannon.
Amy is now reunited in rest with her mother, Amelia; her father, Winfred; her Aunt Dorothy “Dot”; and her brother-in-law, Charlie.
Amy's compassion extended beyond her family; she was a lover of animals throughout her life and dedicated much of her time to caring for them. She was also a successful entrepreneur, co-owning a business with her husband for many years.
Amy’s tenacious and resilient spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her as we fondly reflect on the memories we are left with - - hot summer days at the pool, her home-made spaghetti sauce, Christmas Eve celebrations, road trips visiting family and the everyday conversations around the dining room table. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday February 18, 2025 from 10am to 11am at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090. A Memorial Service will follow at 11am.
Interment will be private
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to their local animal shelter in her honor.
