OBITUARY

Anthony "Tony" Carter was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 17, 1959 to Leroy and Myrna Inez Robinson Carter, and peacefully fell asleep in death on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Tony was a jovial man who loved to write letters, sweep, go riding, and go to the beach. He especially loved his caregivers and housemates. Tony will truly be missed.

Tony leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Myrna I. Robinson Carter Abernethy, of Wake Forest, NC, his brother, David Carter of Wake Forest, NC, two sisters, Cheryl Burnette (Ronald) of Clayton, NC, Andrea Hawkins (Johnnie, Sr.) of Oxford, NC, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Carter, and his nephew, Shawn D. Fox.
