With profound sadness, our family would like to share the news of the death of Dolores M. Dailey (nee Ellison). Dolores was born in Philadelphia on March 20, 1931 and passed away on December 10, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by love. In her 94 years, Dolores (Mom, Mom Mom, GG, Aunt Dolores, Dee) left a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
Dolores was the first born to the late John and Catherine Ellison. She was later joined by three siblings: Peggy Janda (Jerry), the late John W. Ellison (Donna), and Carol Hubler (the late Robert). When she was a teenager, she met and later shared 49 years of marriage with the late Francis T. Dailey (“Buzzy”). Together they raised five children: Dolores Koch (Robert), the late Francis Jr., Thomas (Helen), John (Beth), and Donna Carroll (Robert). She took pride in her 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Dolores was the respected matriarch of our family. Through her, we learned to enjoy the simply things in life: family, laughter, the seashore, dancing, and ice cream! She took pride in attending and enjoying everything family: birthdays, sporting events, graduations, weddings, and birth of babies. In the past year she traveled to Florida, Texas, and Colorado, and attended and danced at the weddings of three of her grandchildren.
She had a special and genuine relationship with all who knew her. Her smile and sparkling eyes lit up a room. She will be missed beyond measure and loved for eternity.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday Morning December 13, 2025 from 930am to 10:45am at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am.
