Earl D. "Butch" Butzer

Earl D. “Butch” Butzer age 76 of Elizabethtown died unexpectedly at the Hershey Medical Center on 12/31/21.

Earl is survived by his sister, Donna Carr (Skeeter); his niece, Allison Carr;  and his nephew, Patrick Carr, all of Lancaster,  He was predeceased by his parents, Chester M. Butzer and Evelyn D.(Weaver) Butzer; his brother, Arthur L Butzer and his half brother, Melvin Young.

Earl was born on 2/12/1945 in Lancaster County.  He was a lifelong Lancaster County resident.  He worked as a laborer most of his life and most recently he worked at Goodwill Industries of Lancaster prior to his retirement.

Earl was a social man who passionately watched and rooted for all Philadelphia sports teams.  He enjoyed a good Pennsylvania Dutch meal.  He will be remembered by his family and friends/caregivers as a friendly and funny man.

A private service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank Friendship Community for many years of support and care for Earl and most recently, the great care provided by Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab.   In lieu of flowers please consider contributions in his memory can be made to Friendship Communities, Lancaster.
