Edmund Nicholas Applegate, 81, passed away peacefully in his Horsham, PA home on April 26th, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Edmund and Anna Applegate (nee Bullock), he was brother to Lorraine Carr (nee Applegate) and Anthony Applegate. He attended Father Judge and then continued on to earn his bachelor’s degree at the Drexel Institute of Technology. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 where he served honorably in Vietnam. Married to Katherine (nee Yeakel) for nearly 53 years, he met the love of his life under an icy, frozen windshield when she went to check on him in the car. That chance meeting blossomed into a warm, loving marriage that blessed them with two sons, Edmund Nicholas Jr. and Michael Howard. He worked as an accountant at Crane Chempump for nearly 40 years, a true master of the balance sheet. He was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans and was passionate about helping fellow disabled veterans in their time of need. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine, his sons Edmund (Jennifer) and Michael (Lauren), his granddaughters Kaycie and Emmy, his brother Anthony (Mary) and numerous nieces and nephews.
