Eleanor "Karen" (Medvic) Dorland

Eleanor (Karen) Dorland (née Medvic) of Hatboro, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on May 7, 2022. She was 67. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Joseph B. Medvic, Sr. and Eleanor I Medvic and her sister, Linda Medvic. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Richard W. Dorland III, her daughters Kate Caceres (Jon), Kristin Granahan (Christopher), and Erica Dorland (Ryan Snow), her grandchildren, Angelina, Domenic, Connor, Liam, Callan, Annabella, Adrianna, and Evan, and many extended family members and close friends. 
Karen was born on May 12 1954 In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a proud graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and Lasalle College. She met the love of her life, Rick, on December 26 1971 and they married on April 1 1978. She was a long-time employee of Johnson & Johnson before she retired. 
She was THE MOST devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. She spent her entire life putting others before herself. As a compassionate and ever-steady confidante and friend to everyone she knew, she made everyone in her life feel special and cared for. She was an avid quilter and Starbucks enthusiast who loved crafting with her grandchildren, shopping with her daughters, and spending summers with her family at the swim club. She was loved by so many and will be forever missed. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday Evening May 11, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090, and on Thursday Morning May 12, 2022 from 930am to 1015am, at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090.  Funeral Mass to follow at 1030am.  Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd, Chalfont, PA 18914.
