Elizabeth A. (Ackerman) Hertzog

Elizabeth A. Hertzog, 73, of Willow Grove, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born July 16, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late James and Janet Hetherington Ackerman. For 19 years, she was an administrative assistant at Abington Township Police Department, Detective Division, retiring in 2017. She was a member of St. David's RC Church.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by husband, Edward; sister, Margaret Jedrzejewski, and brother, James Ackerman; survived by her companion of 9 years, Peter Goetzinger; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Kathryn (Laepple) of Havertown; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Leonard McCoy of Hatfield; four grandchildren, Lucy, Penelope, Kara, and Leonard, Jr.; brother-in-law, Paul Jedrzejewski; a niece, Jennifer, and Remus Sugar; five grand-nieces and nephews, and the members of Peter’s family, whom she considered part of her own.

Friends and relatives are invited to her Visitation on June 5, 2024, from 9:30 am to 10:15 am at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Rd, Willow Grove PA 19090.  Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. The interment will be in St. John Neuman Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd, Chalfont, PA 18914.
