Elva (Keck) Matthews

Dear Friends of Elva Matthews,

We have news to share with you about our Mom, as each of you has been a blessing to her and our families.

Elva Keck Matthews passed away peacefully around 1 pm on Monday, August 25. 

Elva loved her Shell Point community, having lived there for fifteen years, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The family expresses deep appreciation for the quality of her care, the compassion of the Shell Point community, and the role of the Village Church Choir in her life.

Many of you were able to join us earlier this year at the Larsen Health Center, as we celebrated Mom’s 100th birthday with food, fellowship, and stories.  What a blessed memory!

Meaningfully, our Mom’s passing was the same day as our Dad’s birthday. The family is grateful that Mom’s life was shaped by her Christian faith, love for her family, and dedication to her churches. 

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 30th, at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 405 Easton Rd, Willow Grove, PA 19090

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Village Church Concert Series. The Village Church, 15100 Shell Point Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33908. Please note “In Memory of Elva Matthews: The Village Church at Shell Point Music and Concerts.”
