Ernestine A. (Pordum) Spinello,

Ernestine A. Spinello,(nee Pordum) passed on September 22,2023. Known by many as Ernie . She was born on July 2, 1931 in Buffalo, NY to Edward Pordum and Annette Pordum (nee Podlas).

Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William H Spinello, son Paul W Spinello (Susan) , sister Edwina P Geiger ( William) , niece Karen M Geiger and nephew Matthew W Geiger ( Emily).

She is survived by her sons Mark S Spinello ( Laurie), William J Spinello, granddaughter Melissa S Spinello , step granddaughters Dawn Mosko and Jennifer Mosko, sister Paula J Calleri ( Lawrence) , niece Emily J Cowan and nephew John M Calleri and dear friends that became extended family throughout the years.

Ernestine was the first of three daughters raised in Western NY. She was  always the big sister beings the considerable age gap. She graduated from Bishop Colton HS, then later enjoyed working as an x-ray technician at Roswell park. She moved to the Philadelphia suburbs when her husband was transferred here in 1962. Ernie hated it at first  . She missed her family terribly and would visit frequently until the children started school. She adjusted nicely and was fortunate to have great neighbors. Good ole Moreland Manor. After years of raising her family she worked as a Sr Customer Service Representative for Prudential Insurance Co and loved it. She made lots of friends and blossomed. Her granddaughter was a treat  and she loved their weekly visits and Sponge Bob. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles, romance novels and CSI. Gloria Dei Farms was a great transition from the house and became home for 8 years with new friends and enjoyable surroundings.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Saturday November 18, 2023 at 10:30am at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090.  A visitation will be held before Mass from 9:30am to 10:15am.

Interment will be private.
