George R. Dunn

George R. Dunn of Hatboro, 80, passed away March 13, 2023.  George was predeceased by his parents Richard L. Dunn, Jr. and Mary Dunn (nee Powers), and stepmother Lillian Dunn (nee Cook).  He is survived by his children, daughter Maureen Meade (Mac) of Willow Grove, sons Michael of Warrington, and Brian (Helen) of Collegeville.    George is also survived by his three granddaughters, Maggie Sugarman (Ben Sugarman) of Philadelphia, Erin Meade (Brandon Marmion) of Conshohocken, Bridget Meade (Pat Driscoll) of Willow Grove, siblings Richard L. Dunn, III (Frances) of California, Jeanne Gallagher (Terry) of Easton, David Dunn (late Marcy) of Maine, stepbrother Glenn Cook and stepsister Lillian Cook both of Florida.  He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

George was a graduate of St. David’s Parochial School and Cardinal Dougherty High School.  George started his career at the Philadelphia Navy Yard as a pipefitter and soon after became a designer at Raytheon Engineers and Constructors.  He retired from Raytheon after many years as a lead designer.  George was a sports enthusiast and especially loved to play golf.  In his later years, he found significant contentment contributing to his local community in a number of ways.  

George’s Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at John J.  Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Rd., Willow Grove, PA.  Family visitation at 1:00 pm, service at 2:00 pm.  Private burial to follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association at their donations page:   www.heart.org.
