Gerald (Jerry) W. Carlin (69) on August 24th, 2023, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Denise at his side.
Born April 18th, 1954 to Marie and Cornelius, Jerry lived his rambunctious young life in Ardsley with his seven siblings Neal, Thomas, Daniel, David, Ave, Cecelia, and Jane along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.
Jerry and Denise married in 1977 and for forty-six years resided in Philadelphia, PA and in 2022 they moved to Hatboro, PA. In Philadelphia, Denise and Jerry provided inspiration and a warm home, raising their three children Jeremy, Brian, and Sarah. Forever proud of his children, touting them as “his greatest accomplishments.”
Jerry was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. Jerry was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences: maintenance, machinery, engineering, fishing, management, handyman - he could fix or build anything.
Jerry was a great man; proof is in all of the people that he positively impacted. He will be remembered for the heart he shared with his family and friends. Jerry truly loved each of them - and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and a fullness of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
Jerry had an unmatched love of fishing. He generated many great memories while fishing.
Jerry was devoted to Cellucap Manufacturing in Philadelphia from 1982 till 2023 and contributed immensely to the company’s success over the years.
Jerry is survived by his wife Denise M (Donnelly) Carlin and three children: Jeremy J Carlin, Brian J Carlin, and Sarah M Carlin. Jerry is also survived by his sisters Jane Brogan (husband Mike) and Ave Mulhern (husband Joe) and a host of nieces and nephews.
