Harold W. Perrong

Harold W. Perrong Jr, of Willow Grove, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2023.  He was 91 years old. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Harold and Grace Perrong (nee Harer).  He was predeceased by his wife Helen Perrong (nee McVeigh), and his three brothers, John Pierce, Charles F. and Henry J. Perrong. Harold is survived by Ann E. Perrong (nee Osinski), wife of the late John Pierce Perrong.

Harold was a brother in the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and had various teaching positions in Philadelphia and New York before starting his career at Temple.

Harold was a dedicated employee for over fifty years at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry as the pre-clinical Dental Lab Manager, retiring at the age of 84. He loved his job and all of his students. He enjoyed making stained glass sun catchers and had many other hobbies. He learned to scuba dive at the age of 74 during his wonderful trips to St. Croix.

He will be greatly missed by his family, including 11 nieces and nephews, many great, and great-great nieces and nephews, along with his dear friend Betty Cassidy and her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Monday, March 27 at St. David Roman Catholic Church, 316 Easton Road (611), Willow Grove, PA. His funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA
