Helen was a beloved wife to her husband, Leon, whom she was happily married to for 65 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to four children, Karen Bater, Lee Gonshor, Michael Gonshor(Franziska), and Mary Marin. She is also survived by her sisters Mary and Ann, and grandchildren, Kristin Khan(Bilal), Alexandra Bater, Evan Gonshor, Nicholas Gonshor, Jessica Marin and Allison Marin.
Born August 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Mary(nee Zawiska) and John Hocko.
She enjoyed long walks, and summer vacations spent with her family in Ocean City, NJ. Later in life, she traveled extensively with her husband, visiting nearly all of the American wonders and many European cities with a particular love of Paris, enjoying cafes with views of the Eiffel Tower.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Davids Catholic Church. Helen was a devoted nurse, treating her patients with extraordinary compassion and tenderness.
She had a playful spirit that will live on in the memories of her loved ones.
She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth and brothers John, Nicholas, Michael and Steven.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday December 27, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at St. David's RC Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. A Mass of Catholic Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private by the request of the family.
