Henry R Kwiecinski
January 31, 1938- July 17, 2025
Henry Kwiecinski, a distinguished leader in the financial industry and a beloved family man, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025.
Henry was born in Hammonton, New Jersey in 1938 to Henry and Henrietta Kwiecinski. Henry was raised in Ocean City and Ridgewood, New Jersey where he attended Ridgewood High School.
Henry graduated from Penn State University in 1960 and remained a loyal alum his entire life, despite frustration that a national title alluded the Nittany Lions football team in recent years. He matriculated to University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business where he received an M.B.A. in 1962.
Henry dutifully served his country in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965, retiring as a lieutenant .
After successful stints at Chase Manhattan Bank, Loomis and Kennedy and Studley Shubert, Henry joined Bishop and Associates in 1977 as Vice President. His leadership and acumen led to his appointment as President in 1993. He served as Chairman from 1998 until his passing.
In 1994, he married his beloved wife, Barbara Kwiecinski, forming a cherished partnership filled with love and support. He is survived by his children, Henry M. Kwiecinski (Caroline) and Jennifer Kwiecinski, and his grandchildren, Jack, Mary Kathren, Matthew, and Amanda. Henry also embraced his three stepchildren, Colin Barber (Allison), Lydia Imperiale (Joe), and Ian Barber, as well as his seven step-grandchildren, Ella, Lucas, Will, Charlotte, Claire, Madison, and Nate. He is also survived by his brother, Eric Kwiecinski (Kathy) of Sebastian, Florida, and was deeply loved by his Aunt Jean Golden of North Carolina.
A man of many interests, Henry enjoyed reading, hunting, and fishing. He cherished his many bird hunting trips to Kansas with his cousin and best friend, Eric Golden, where they shared countless memories in the great outdoors.
Always fond of Ocean City, he would return many years later after purchasing a home in the Gardens, where he enjoyed time with family and was a short distance to his boat(s), which saw many fishing trips and the occasional nap in the hull.
Known for his sharp intellect, Henry had a remarkable ability to converse on any topic and remained curious and informed throughout his life. His legacy will endure through the lives he touched, both professionally and personally.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Thomas' Episcopal Church, 7020 Camp Hill Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034 on July 29 at 11:00 AM.
