Henry Francis Schneider, age 87, formerly of Ocean City NJ, passed away on May 15th 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. Born Henry (Hank) on August 22nd, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to Henry Joseph Schneider and Margaret (Price) Schneider.
Hank was the only son of three children. He is survived by his wife, Sabina Anne Schneider, and will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Marybeth Stewart (Donald), Joseph Schneider (Maureen) and Christopher Schneider (Tiffany) and his 7 grandchildren: Patrick Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Olivia Schneider, Michael Stewart, Jake Schneider, Logan Schneider, and Evan Schneider. He is also survived by two brother-in-laws, Francis Mangan and Jude Thomas Schwegel, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two siblings: his older sister Genevieve Metzger and her husband Larry, and his younger sister, Ruth Schwegel.
He met the love of his life, Sabina Anne Loughrey while working in the same building in Philadelphia. On May 27, 1967 Hank and Anne were married at St. Anselm’s Church in Philadelphia.
After attending North Catholic High School, he went on to a long career as a Hospital Engineer including several terms as the President of the Hospital Engineers Association of the Delaware Valley (HEADV.)
After retirement, Hank volunteered at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton in several capacities, including as a sacristan. He also enjoyed working part-time at Brookdale Senior Living.
One of his greatest joys was retiring to the New Jersey Shore and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday May 19, 2022 at 11am at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Southampton PA. Viewing in church from 10am to 10:45am.
Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem PA.
