Janet M Klabe, age 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 5, 2021. Janet was born on May 30, 1952 at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA to Peter and Marjorie Serratore. She grew up in North Wales, PA and was the second of six children. Like her brothers and sisters, Janet attended church growing up and continued to practice her faith throughout her entire life. She was an active member of Saint Davids Roman Catholic Church in Willow Grove, PA for over 35 years. She loved to support anyone in need and volunteered for many organizations.
Janet was married to Karl Klabe III, on September 2, 1976, they had two children together, Karl Klabe IV and Philip Klabe. Janet married her soulmate, John Covaleski, on August 30, 2015. Although only married a short time, they shared many joyous memories together. Janet enjoyed traveling, working out, being in church, spending time with friends and family, cooking and expressing her Italian roots through dishes, music, and collections she grow throughout her life.
Janet is preceded by her father and mother, Peter and Marjorie Serratore; her late husband John Covaleski; her brothers Peter and Joseph Serratore; her mother and father in-law Karl Klabe Jr. and Josephine Klabe; her sister in-law Justine Harkinson; her niece Jennifer Trumbore and Nicole Peacock.
Janet is survived by her son’s Karl (Rachel) Klabe IV and Philip Klabe; her grandchildren Savannah and Brycen Klabe, Ex-husband Karl Klabe III; Her brother’s Michaelangelo (Robert) Serratore and Joseph (Vicky) Klabe; her sister’s Beth (Jim) Weckerly, Kathy (Dale) Bucci, Mary Peacock, Lisa (Gerry) Cave; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at St David’s Roman Catholic Church located at 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, Pa. 19090 on January 19, 2021 at 11:00am. Visitation in church from 10am to 10:45am. Interment will follow at 1:15pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery located at 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pa. 18940. Attendees are required to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines.
