Jessey Hernandez

Jessey Hernandez, age 88, of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at Bridges of Warwick Assisted Living in Jamison. He was born on April 21, 1936, in Dallas, Texas.

Jessey proudly served in the U.S. Army before marrying his beloved wife, Mary Hernandez, in 1958. They celebrated 66 years of marriage earlier this year. A resident of Hatboro for over six decades, Jessey built a life filled with love and community.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Hernandez; his children: Karen Starner of Montgomeryville, PA; Michael Hernandez and his spouse Beth of Austin, TX; Robert Hernandez and his spouse Gabriela Segal of Philadelphia, PA; Steven Hernandez of Brentwood, TN; and Linda Weigand of Phoenix, AZ. Jessey's legacy continues through his thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He cherished traveling to visit family in the western U.S. and exploring new places with Mary. He was a devoted father and adored the time spent with his grandchildren. A long-time fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State football, Jessey enjoyed working out and socializing with his many friends at the Hatboro YMCA. Above all, he cared deeply about his family and was a good friend, well-loved by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 8, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Rd, Willow Grove, PA 19090. There will be a viewing in the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Interment will be held in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940,  at 1:30pm, please meet at the visitor center by 1:20pm.
