Joseph Lindmeier Obituary


Joseph Carl Lindmeier, 77, passed away on October 14 , 2020. He was born in Franklinville, NJ. and graduated from Delsea Regional High School as a part of the first graduating class in 1963. During high school he was a member of the football team and later would be inducted into The Delsea High School Athletic Hall of Fame. After graduation he enlisted into The United States Marine Corp. where he served with distinction as a Sergeant in Okinawa during The Vietnam era. Upon his return he was hired and employed by Atlantic City Electric Co. until his retirement. He was married and had two children, five grand children and one great grandson. Joe was an active parent and an especially active grandparent. He enjoyed his years as a coach and spectator at many events involving his children and grandchildren. He was an active member of The PIttsgrove Democratic Assoc., as well as a curator for The Salem County Veterans Cemetery. He enjoyed baking, music, dancing and loved boating. 
He is survived by Bonnie (Jackson) Lindmeier, his children Cheryl (Gregory) Berwick, and Joseph Lindmeier , grandchildren Zachary (Gee) Berwick, Dylan (Marissa) Berwick, Samantha (Reed) Orr, Meghan Berwick, Melissa (Jon) Berwick, as well as a great grandson, Wade McElroy. He is also survived by his brother William and sister Joan, nieces, nephews, cousins, Ann and Mike Sepanic as well as many other family and friends. 
He was predeceased by his mother and father, William and Marie (Foster) Lindmeier, brothers Robert and Elmer as well as partner Ann Streicher. 
Interment will be on October 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at The Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road Williamstown, NJ 08094.
