June (Hummel) Conger

Our dear mother June Victoria (Hummel) Conger, 97, of Greentown, PA passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Whitestone Care Center in Bartonsville, PA.  She was the loving wife of the late Donald Leon Conger Sr. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and. Beatrice Hummel.  June grew up between Manhattan, NY and Promised Land, PA  where she met our dear father. They were married in 1953 and resided in Promised Land, PA. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, sailing, cooking and doing puzzles. 

June loved to make people laugh, always telling jokes and kidding around. She  always said that her greatest accomplishment was raising her four beautiful children.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Donald Leon Conger Jr. and his wife Lisa of Greentown, PA. Her daughters, Vicki June Fedele and her husband Rudy of Pipersville, PA and Sheri Lynn Conger of New Foundland, PA. And her daughter-in-law Sara Spangler of York, PA. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Nicholas, his fiancée Vanessa, Rudy, his wife Paige, Brandon, Alex, his wife Amanda, and great-grandchild, AJ. She was predeceased by her son Wayne Charles Conger, her parents Charles Depuy Hummel and Beatrice (Gimber) Hummel and her brother Charles Depuy Hummel. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, 491 Roemerville Rd., Greentown, PA.  A memorial service will be at 11:00am. The burial will follow at Moravian Cemetery, New Foundland, PA.
