Kathleen Murray Barrett passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jean Murray.  She is survived by her former husband, Frank Barrett, Son Jake and daughter Grace.  She is also survived by her sisters Jo Ann Schluckebier (Francis), and Colleen McKenna ( Dave), nieces Mary Beth Schluckebier, Megan O’Connell, Maura McKenna, and nephews Sean McKenna, Ryan McKenna and Matt Schluckebier.  

Kathy’s legacy will be the relationships she forged with people and the impact she had on their lives.  She loved her children and was a kind, caring person and a good friend to many. Her sense of humor and quick wit often brought laughter to many a gathering. Rest in peace mother, sister, aunt and dear friend.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 8th, 2022, 10:30 AM at St. Raymond of Penafort RC church, 1350 Vernon Rd, Phila.PA 19150. The family is asking that all attendees wear a mask. There will be no visitation and interment will be private. Due to the recent spike in COVID we ask that attendees disperse immediately following the mass and refrain from congregating. In lieu of gathering and flowers, the family is asking you share your "Kathy stories” on the Bryers Funeral Home website or make  a donation to St Raymond of Penafort Parish or a charity of your choice.
