Audubon, New Jersey - On Jan. 28, 2021 Lucy Pacello, nee Summa, age 98 years, beloved wife of the late William Pacello, Sr. Lucy was the devoted mother of Ann Reiter, Martha Pacello, and William Pacello, Jr. She was also the cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Reiter, (Gina), Margo Posner, and Heston Posner, (Julie). Also survived by three great grandchildren: Max, Alyssa, and Julia Reiter. Also survived by her sister Louise Bassano of Boca Raton.
Born in New York City and raised in Long Island, Lucy was a postal worker when she met her husband Bill, from Philadelphia, who was serving in the Coast Guard during WW II. Shortly after, the two were married at St Aloysius Church in Oaklyn, NJ and settled in Audubon. There she became a member of Holy Maternity Church and participated in the choir for several years. Lucy resided in Audubon for 75 years and enjoyed the quiet, humble life of that community serving her family and the many who entered her home.
Private service will be held Monday February 1, 11:00 AM at New Saint Mary’s Chapel and Mausoleum, 515 Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any of the following organizations:
