Margaret M. (Blaney) Clark

August 15, 1937 ~ July 1, 2023 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Obituary

Margaret M. (Blaney) Clark, 85, of Ardsley was known as Mom and Mommom to those who loved her most dearly. Before she passed on July 1, 2023, she had decades of a long and well lived life. Peggy used to regale her children and grandchildren with stories from her life, from growing up on a farm to going to school at Hallahan. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond Clark Sr., she met the love of her life at a movie theater, before being stood up on their first date, thanks to a few of Pop’s meddlesome brothers. Luckily, she (and her father) gave Pop a second chance. From their love blossomed two children, to whom the rest of her life was dedicated: Raymond Jr. (Jeanne) and Peggy (Joe). Our family matriarch loved nothing more than being a grandmother to Raymond III (Kim), Kaitlin (Eric), Megan (Dan), Jennifer, Colleen, Rebecca (Justin) and Joey, and great-grandmother to Finn, Eleanor, Jane, Penelope, Raymond IV and Rosemary. She is also survived by her sister Patricia.

Peggy was a woman of faith, who prayed more in a day then some people prayed in a lifetime. She was funny; she made jokes as often as she took them, and could always laugh at herself. She was kind and thoughtful, generous with her time and treasure. None of her grandchildren, or later great grandchildren, ever walked out of a room empty handed; there were always a couple of dollar bills slipped in a fist for some ice cream.

Peggy came from humble beginnings; yet at the end of her life, she knew she was rich with blessings. Her greatest joy, her family, is a legacy that will be remembered forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her legacy on Friday, July 7. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:15am at Queen of Peace Church, 820 N Hills Ave, Glenside, PA 19038 (at the corner of North Hills Avenue & Fitzwatertown Road). The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. A luncheon for friends and family will follow. Interment will be private.

Lovingly written by her granddaughter Megan.
