Margaret Dzumaga Obituary

MARGARET DZUMAGA nee MODLA, 70, of Holland, PA., suddenly left this world due to complications from diabetes on Monday, January 4, 2021.

She is survived by her daughter and best friend Ginger Aña Dayla and son-in-law Russ Widdall, as well as her son-in-law Sean Duffy and her 2 beautiful grandchildren, Brianna and Brayden.  She was the younger sister of Jim Modla of The Villages, Florida and Nancy Singer of Warminster, PA.  She has many friends, colleagues, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will also miss her greatly. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Dzumaga, in 2019, and her older brother John.  She also has another daughter, Robin Duffy.

Born in Nanticoke, PA, she grew up in Bucks County and graduated from Bristol High School in 1968.  She had a long career with Bell Telephone starting in the 1960s, where she was well-liked and excelled at her work.  She will be remembered for her charming humor, love of animals, kindness to others, and dedication to her family. She was proud to have marched on Washington several times against the Vietnam War.  She was an active mother and grandmother and treasured every moment with her grandchildren.  She loved attending Ginger and Russ’s performances and supporting their artistic work.  She also frequented flea markets and thrift shops, never hesitating to tell you about a bargain she snagged.  Her quirkiness and thoughtfulness will be missed.

Please join us in a celebration of her life at St. Bede the Vulnerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA at 11:30am on Saturday, January 23, 2021.  Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 10:30am to 11:15am.   Followed by a reception at the Buck Hotel.

Her remains will be interred at Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Rd, Doylestown, PA, on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 12pm.
