In loving memory of Margaret Mary Valenti
Margaret (Peg) Mary Valenti, a cherished member of the Roslyn PA community, passed away at the age of 92. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, as well as a profound impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Masterson.
Peg was a devoted mother to her children Robert (Bob) and his wife Joanne, Denise, Margaret (Peggy) and her wife Martha, and James (Jim) and his wife Sandy. She embraced the joys of motherhood and provided unwavering support and care to her family throughout her life. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gertrude (Trudy) Masterson.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob), with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law, William and his wife Rosemary and James.
Peg's heart was filled with love for her grandchildren: Marcella and her husband Josh, Robert, Stephen, Nicholas, Paul, and Joseph, and great grandchildren: Harrison and Emma. She cherished every moment spent with them, delighting in their growth and accomplishments. Her affection extended beyond her immediate family, and included many nieces and nephews, whom she cherished with warmth and genuine care.
Peg was born in Philadelphia, was a member of the Holy Child parish, and attended St. Mary’s Academy.
A faithful parishioner of St. John of the Cross/Queen of Peace church, Margaret's spirituality played an integral role in her life. She found solace, comfort, and community within her faith. She was a dedicated member of Sodality and was a member of the alter guild.
Peg was very active in volunteer work outside of her church as well. As a Girl Scout cookie coordinator, she spearheaded cookie sales. She also volunteered on the Daisy Day campaign for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Peg had a passion for books and reading, finding joy and enlightenment through the written word. Her love for literature enriched her life and inspired those around her.
In addition to her love for books, and her deep sense of family, Peg had a passion for traveling and creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Many summer weeks were spent with her family on the beautiful Jersey shore, where they shared laughter, joy, and the beauty of the beach together.
As we bid farewell to Margaret Mary Valenti, we carry with us the precious memories of her love, kindness, and devotion. She will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of love and strength. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
