Melinda J. Gavin

Melinda Jean "Linda" Gavin, born September 8, 1949, passed away on February 12, 2026. Born in Philadelphia to Anthony Rozsar and Loretta (Gramlich) Rozsar, Linda lived in Willow Grove for the past fifty years. She was a member of Saint David Parish and attended the St. James elementary school before continuing on to Cardinal Dougherty High School and graduating from Gwynedd Mercy College where she attained an Associate Degree.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, John; her son John, Jr, (Sim) and daughter Jennifer.

She waged an unrelenting and courageous seven and a half-year battle against Alzheimer's Disease before passing. The family expresses deep gratitude to the wonderful nurses, and support staff at Memory Care at the Park for their compassionate and loving care during this very difficult time.

She was a talented musician playing the viola, piano and organ.  This talent she passed on to her children.  She was also a member of several clubs and organizations.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint David Catholic Church, 316 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090, on Tuesday, February 17, at 10:30 AM, preceded by a viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. 

Interment will be held on Thursday February 19, 2026 promptly at 10:30am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. (please arrive by 10:20am) 

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s name be made to the Montgomery County SPCA.
