Miriam Theresa (McHale) Hilferty, 94, of Wyndmoor, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2022. Miriam was born January 23, 1928 in the Germantown section of Philadelphia to Joseph Patrick McHale and Martina Kent McHale. Miriam married the late Lawrence E. Hilferty on May 20, 1950.

The last 57 year of her life she was a resident of Wyndmoor in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, PA. Miriam and Lawrence had seven children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence E. Hilferty, her son Br. Lawrence J. Hilferty, her daughter Nancy Krause (Harold), her brothers Raymond and Joseph, and her sister Anna (Nancy). Miriam is survived by her sons Michael F. Hilferty (Cindi), Daniel E. Hilferty (Mary Beth), Kevin M. Hilferty, James V. Hilferty (Alicia), and Thomas P. Hilferty (Marce). Also surviving Miriam are 13 grandchildren who brought Miriam so much joy, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, and many loving nieces and nephews.
