Nicole Laurriane Boyd passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at the age of 59. She was a loving wife to Neal Boyd, mother to Caitlin (Ben) Sprague, grandmother to Camron, daughter to the late Fernando and the late Gladis Chirinos, sister to the late Gerardo ‘Nico’ Chirinos, Flavia (Gary) Via, Angela and Alberto Penta, the late Eliana (Russ) Flannery and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Nicole was born on August 11, 1963 in Arequipa, Peru. When Nicole was 7 years old, her family immigrated to the United States and moved to Falls Church, Virginia. There she attended elementary school through a portion of high school at Falls Church High School, before moving to Roslyn, PA where she graduated from Abington High School. Nicole was known for her bubbly personality and excitement for life. During her younger years she enjoyed camping with her family, being active in sports and participated in soccer, volleyball, and bowling leagues. Nicole was a social butterfly that lit up a room with her vibrant spirit and laughter. She loved the people in her life unconditionally, and never judged others or spoke down on people. She had the biggest, purest heart that was effortlessly forgiving, gracious, and joyful towards all who crossed her path.

In 1989 Nicole was blessed with her first and only daughter, Caitlin Nicole Sprague. She loved to spend her time visiting the beach and crabbing, watching meteor showers and star-gazing, attending local events and concerts, and celebrating with friends and family any occasion she could. Later, Nicole became an avid Karaoke-er. She loved the spotlight, and was truly a star that shined wherever she went, always exuding "main-character" energy. She often sang at the VFW where she met her husband, Neal Boyd. The two spent 24 wonderful years together creating unforgettable memories.

Nicole made frequent trips to Peru with her father and maintained strong connections with her relatives. She always made it a point in her life to stay connected with family and friends no matter how distant, constantly reminding us all of how important it is to love the people you're blessed with.

Nicole was a shining light of laughter, joy, and fun. She remained a loyal, life-long friend to all who knew her and was a cherished member of her large family. Her nickname to many friends and family was "Beautiful" because not only did she always look fabulous with her colorful style, but was just a beautiful soul through and through. She was a loving, motherly-figure to many in her life and was also known fondly by the nickname her nieces and nephews gave her - “Mommy Cole”. Her eager, creative and generous nature always kept her busy with the next adventure. She was constantly helping others, giving her time and energy endlessly, always doing so from the kindness of her heart and with the most positive attitude. She will be remembered as someone who always enjoyed life to the fullest.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday May 5, 2023 from 1pm to 2pm at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Rd., Willow Grove PA 19090.  Memorial Service to follow at 2pm.
