Patricia Quinn Stayt was born on March 6, 1928 and left this world on September 13, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Mary C. Quinn (Weber) and Dr. Thomas J. Quinn, VMD of Darby, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late John W. Stayt, Sr. for 64 years.
Patricia, Nana to her family, loved her life and lived it fully. Highly gifted with many talents, she excelled in many areas of life. Notably, she founded the arts festival jointly held with Dressage at Devon as a major cancer research fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She conceptualized the DVHAA (Delaware Valley Historical Aircraft Association) Air Museum Library, and she created beautiful oil paintings as a self-taught artist throughout her life. Music was another of her passions, beginning as first chair cello at Notre Dame High School and she often delighted her family with classical piano recitals. Pat Quinn was proud of her Irish heritage and her family tree and was a lifelong learner of local and world history.
She is survived by her children Patti and John (Karen) and her grandchildren Patrick, Janelle Mertz (Gregory), and Sean as well as nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her sisters Jeanne Braceland and Carol Quinn
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday 21, 2021 at 10:30am at St. David RC Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090. Viewing in church from 9:30am to 10:15am.
Interment will be private.
