Robert Degnan

Robert Michael Degnan of Willow Grove and Philadelphia Pa passed away suddenly on December 18, 2021 at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his father Francis D. Degnan. He is survived by his mother Kathleen (Dolly), sister Kathy Dascher,  brothers: Frank, John (Carolyn),Tom, nephews: Bill Dascher, Chris Dascher (Casey), John Degnan Jr., and niece, Julia Degnan.

Robert enjoyed the simple things in life, such as watching college football on Saturdays, listening to live music, or hanging out with friends and family. His lasting legacy will be the relationships he forged with people and the impact he had on their lives. He was a kind, caring person and a good friend to many. Simply put, if you knew Bob, you liked him. He had a certain way about him that made it easy for people to warm up to him. He had a remarkable memory for names and could easily recall all the details around any story. He would always have a funny story or a timely joke and his quick wit and hilarious “one-liners” were priceless.

Being with family meant the word to him. During the last few months of Dad's life he was an amazing and tireless caregiver being there around the clock for Dad, comforting and helping him in any way possible. He spent much time assisting siblings in whatever was happening in their lives as well. Life without Bob won’t be the same for anyone who knew him. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace brother, friend, uncle, and son.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 6, 2022, 11:00 AM at St. David's RC church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. All are welcome to attend the mass, and the family is asking that all attendees wear a mask. There will be no visitation and interment will be private. Due to the recent spike in COVID we ask that attendees disperse immediate following the mass and refrain from congregating. In lieu of gathering and flowers, the family is asking you share your "Bobby stories” on the Bryers Funeral Home website and a donation made to a charity of your choice.
