Robert J. Greenwood

R. J. Greenwood, Jr., 77, of Hatboro, PA, passed away on September 8, 2025, peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

R. J. was born in Darby, PA on August 24, 1948 to the late Caroline and Robert J. Greenwood Sr.

R. J. graduated from Upper Darby High School class of 1966.  R. J. enjoyed martial arts, hunting, golf, sailing and video games.  He served in the Army during Vietnam and worked as a Steamfitter.  He was a member of the Local 420 for over 50 years.  He was a loving husband and father who worked hard to provide for his family.  He was fortunate enough to retire early and enjoy almost 20 years of retirement.  R. J. loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his children Stephanie O’Brien (Timothy), Robert J. Greenwood (Anne) and Rachel L. Greenwood, his grandchildren Killian, Nolan, Audrey and Isla O'Brien, his nieces Jacqueline Robinson Dyar and Julie M. Robinson, and his nephews Adam R. McGrath and Alex R. McGrath.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090.  A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00am.

Interment will be promptly at 1pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery,  830 Highland Rd., Newtown PA 18940. (please arrive by 12:50pm)
