Stephen (Steve) Scott, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 9th, 2025, just shy of his 37th birthday. Born on September 20, 1988, Steve brought light, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew him.
A proud graduate of Upper Dublin High School, Steve continued his academic journey at the University of Pittsburgh, where he forged lifelong friendships and nurtured his passion for learning. He went on to earn his law degree from Drexel University School of Law, demonstrating his dedication, intelligence, and tireless work ethic. He was happily employed by Summit Risk Insurance.
Steve was a man of many interests and deep connections. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life — hitting the golf course on a sunny afternoon, diving into a great movie, cheering on Philly sports teams through every season, and dominating trivia nights with his sharp mind and quick wit. But above all, Steve cherished time spent with family and friends. His loyalty, kindness, and humor made him the kind of person people naturally gravitated toward.
He is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Lori, his brothers Dave (Peyton), Kevin (Dana), and Matt, nephews Archie and Elijah, and the family’s loyal dog, Chase, who was always by his side. Steve’s memory will also be cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of devoted friends who were like family to him. Steve’s passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will live on in shared stories, laughter, and the countless lives he touched.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20th at Queen of Peace Church in Glenside, Pa. Visitation will take place from 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a memorial service at 10:45 AM. A reception will follow. Steve generously donated to various charities. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice, in honor of Steve’s generous heart and love for the community. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
