Susan Mullen Obituary

Susan Ann Mullen, born March 22, 1950, passed away on February 7, 2026. Born in Philadelphia to Francis Lavin and Helen Smith, Susan lived in Willow Grove for the past seventy-three years. She was a member of Saint David Parish and attended the parish elementary school before continuing on to Archbishop Wood High School and graduating from Gwynedd Mercy College.

Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, James; her twin sister, Patricia Juliano; her two daughters, Megan Burkhardt (Michael) and Melissa Cooper (Vincent); her loving and beloved grandson, James Burkhardt and Melissa’s stepsons, Brady, Jake, and Luke.

She waged an unrelenting and courageous five-year battle against cancer before passing. The family expresses deep gratitude to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and support staff at Asplundh Cancer Center and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate and humane care during this very difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint David Catholic Church, 316 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090, on Saturday, February 14, at 10:30 AM, preceded by a visitation from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. Burial will follow at Saint John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.

The family politely requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s name be made to Archbishop Wood High School, 655 York Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
